The Nau-Ti-GalMadison’s fun place for on the water dining and drinks. The Nau-Ti-Gal has a long and interesting history. This restaurant was at one time or another, a stagecoach stop, speakeasy, general store, gas station, tavern, and a marina complete with boat rentals, engine repair, and live bait. (oh, and no, it’s never been a strip joint!) In its most recent past, as Hanson’s Tavern, it was quite common to have your bartender tap your beer, flip your burger, then scoop up some minnows all without ever leaving the bar. In 1982, the von Rutenberg family purchased Hanson’s. After an extensive renovation the Nau-Ti-Gal was born. Over the years the menu, décor and outdoor amenities have evolved to give you the unique casual waterfront atmosphere that you have to experience. We can’t wait to see you here at the Nau-Ti-Gal.
